After
a 13-year long rest, the fourth release of Sinfonia No.13 – 2008 vintage – is
ready to return to your tables.
A
blend of the best grapes from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, the precious black
wooden box is always in a limited edition: one hundred and twenty-six gift-boxes of two bottles each.
The
grapes of the 2008 harvest come from a fresh and little sunny spring, punctuated
by frequent rainfall that, continuing into the summer, ensured ripe and
concentrated clusters.
The
result in the glass is an iridescent bouquet: rich in tropical fruit, lime and
chamomile, it delicately hints at star anise and fades into melted butter. The
sip, with excellent structure and creaminess, surprises with minerality and
freshness, reconfirms the olfactory sensations of yellow-pulp fruit and closes
with a voluminous finish of rare persistence, enriched by sweet boisé notes.
The
perfect blend of crispness and ripeness, Sinfonia No.13 will be at its most
splendid with adventurous dishes, which might include Catalan crustaceans,
Culatello aged for at least 36 months, oven-baked or fried fish.
Our hope is that you will be able to enjoy this wine
right away, savour its vigorous fruit, grapes picked at the very moment of peak
ripeness. Alternatively, you may enjoy its increased richness following further
ageing.
