Our Brut
2012 is now available to tell the unique personality of its harvest.
The grapes that make up this wine lived a year characterised by sudden climate changes. After a fresh and rainy spring, an uncommonly warm summer allowed to recover the delay in vegetation and to collect in mid-August clusters in perfect health but with yields below the forecasts.
The story of harvest 2012 emerges clearly during the tasting of this cuvée of Chardonnay (60%) and Pinot Noir (40%) made only from the free-run juice and stayed on the lees for a minimum of 60 months. The prevailing notes recall crisp fruit enriched by gentle tart sensations. Brut Vintage is a Franciacorta that evokes freshness and liveliness, being helped in this aim by the low dosage of sugar (1,5 grams per liter).
Its fresh and stimulating style is perfect for demanding pairings: fat cold cuts like mortadella, wild salmon, freshwater fish like pike salad or fillets of perch fish.
Limited to only 3,650 bottles and 205 magnums, Franciacorta Brut 2012 is recognizable on the shelf for its capsule decorated with five lines suggesting a musical staff: an homage to Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli, the inspiration of the striving for beauty that livens up the project Ronco Calino.
