Since its first issue in 1980, the Austrian Falstaff has become the most important wine and culinary magazine for the German-speaking world and its Sparkling Special an essential reference for lovers of wines “with bubbles”. Among the more than 1,000 sparkling wines from all over the world – just over 500 of which are Italian - reviewed by Falstaff for the 2025 edition, our Franciacorta n.v. Brut and Brut 2018 were also included, earning 92 and 91 points respectively.
In the tasting notes drafted by Othmar Kiem, Editor-in-Chief of Falstaff Italia, and by Simon Staffler, partner and Managing Director, as well as journalist and expert connoisseur of the Italian wine and culinary scene, both highlight aromas of hazelnut, almond, and yellow apple — riper in the 2018 Brut — along with a vibrant acidity that makes them suitable for long aging in the bottle.
